    Saltery River
    Silver Salmon

    The Saltery River, which drains from Saltery Lake into Ugak Bay, produces excellent runs of bright, hard-fighting salmon througout the season: sockeye, pinks, chums and silvers, along with fast-action dolly varden, rainbow trout and steelhead.

    Sockeye Red Salmon range in weight from five to eight pounds. These fish really go after the fly on the end of your line.

    Saltery Lake Lodge is a fishing, hunting and photography adventure located on Saltery Lake near Ugak Bay, on the eastern side of Kodiak Island, Alaska.

    Nestled in a setting of rolling hills, mountains, and rivers, Saltery Lake Lodge provides numerous opportunities to view and photograph widlife such as Sitka blacktail deer, eagles, marine mammals, and seabirds. Kodiak brown bears also visit the area.
